Cookie policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

CanadaPaycheque does not set any cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. That is why there is no consent banner: we only use what is strictly necessary or what you choose yourself.

What we use

themeLocal storage · preference

Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Only created if you switch the theme.

Duration: until you delete it

__cf_bm cf_clearanceCloudflare cookies · security

Tell people from bots and remember that you passed a security check. Only set if Cloudflare detects suspicious traffic.

Duration: 30 minutes / up to 1 year

Local storage never leaves your browser: our server cannot read it. None of these items is used to identify you, follow you across websites or build a profile of you.

Why we do not ask for consent

Cookies and storage that are strictly necessary for the security of a service, or that only remember a preference you chose, do not require consent under Canadian privacy law, the EU ePrivacy rules and Spain's LSSI (article 22.2). If we ever add any other kind of cookie, we will ask for your permission first and update this page.

Third parties

The only outside resource is the script of Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without setting cookies or storing anything in your browser (see the privacy policy). The site loads no other scripts, fonts, images or videos from other services, so no third party can set cookies through CanadaPaycheque. Links to other websites (such as the CRA) open those sites, which have their own cookie policies.

How to delete them

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings (usually under "Privacy" → "Clear browsing data" or "Site data"). The site keeps working; you only lose your theme choice.
